USA Badminton Coming to The Podium in 2023

USA BADMINTON JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS COMING TO SPOKANE (Spokane, WA, December 15, 2022) The Podium Powered by STCU will transform into a world class badminton facility when Spokane hosts the 2023 USA Badminton Junior National Championships, June 25 - July 2, 2023. “From the start, we wanted to ensure The Podium Powered by STCU was a true multi-purpose venue” says Ashley Blake, CEO of Spokane Sports. “Hosting badminton is another example of the flexibility in the design of the facility.”

No detail is too small if it’s important to our sports client. Everything from lighting to air flow was considered during discussions with USA Badminton. Eighteen badminton courts will be assembled inside The Podium to accommodate 600 athletes. More than 900 total spectators, coaches, officials, and VIP’s will also be staying in Spokane for the weeklong championship.

On selecting Spokane as the host city, USA Badminton CEO Linda French said "The caliber of facility, Spokane Sports' expertise in hosting quality events, and the beauty of the city made Spokane an easy choice to hold our marquee event."

While you may have played this sport in the backyard or the beach, this is an opportunity to watch badminton at the competitive level and be witness to future Olympic athletes.
