Each December, the Inland Northwest Sportswriters and Broadcasters (SWABs) convene to nominate the best athletes from the region that year. The Sports Awards Luncheon recognizes the achievements of the student athletes, coaches, and teams selected by the SWABs for top honors. The Spokane Regional Sports Commission hosts the annual Luncheon which attracts over 1,000 youth, coaches, parents, and athletic supporters.
