Inland Northwest Sports Awards
The Inland Northwest Sports Awards Luncheon recognizes the achievements of youth, amateur, and professional athletes, coaches and teams from across the Inland Northwest. The annual Luncheon, hosted by the Spokane Regional Sports Commission, is held each February and attracts over 1,000 student athletes, coaches, and athletic supporters. The awards finalists are honored and the winners are announced.
The Inland Northwest Sportswriters and Broadcasters (SWABs) monitor athletic achievement throughout the calendar year. Through a nominating and voting process, their members from regional media select finalists and winners in the various categories. Special awards are also presented including the Student Athletic Trainer of the Year. presented by Rockwood Clinic, and Sportsmanship of the Year, presented by Spokane Hoopfest.
